Music reviews

One of the most beautiful albums I've ever heard.

I'm not a music reviewer. I don't really have the time or poetic voice to say what it is I like about an album or artist in a way that makes any sense, and I think I'm no longer going to try to write reviews of what I'm listening to. So I'm just going to say I love this album.

5/5 stars

For the last (I guess maybe first) time...poetic voice is overrated. A good album review is one that addresses the actual quality of the album. Your philosophy tree review was good because you actually talked about the tracks, their composition etc. I think it's a fine thing to just say that you like an album and don't feel like providing analysis of it...but I also don't think it should be attributed to lack of time or poetic voice. A poetic review is, in my opinion, a bad one.

Point taken, insofar as poetic voice is concerned. However, with lack of time...that will remain a valid excuse :)

Hey, I agree, this really is a great album. It is an odd combination of introspection with light-hearted sounds, but it really works. Some reason though (hard to put my finger on why) I still prefer Glow and Birds to this one. My favorites are "Tomorrow on the Runway" "One for Sorrow, Two for Joy" and "Marthe Avenue Love Song."
